EXPERIENCE
Mike Dubnoff has been a Bay Area wedding photographer since 1979. His work
has been published in local newspapers, commercial brochures and national
magazines. With over 350 weddings to his credit, Mike has the experience
to help make your
wedding day go as smoothly as possible. His easy-going style will help
you and your guests feel comfortable in front
of the camera.
HUSBAND AND WIFE TEAM
To make your special day even easier, Mike is assisted at most weddings by
his wife, Katy. Katy will help you and your family during the formal pictures and also adds her own romantic touch
when it comes to posing the bride and groom. Katy also shoots candid photographs throughout the
wedding and reception. If Katy is unavailable for your wedding, our
long-time assistant, Mariah fills in.
STYLE
All weddings are covered using a combination of photojournalism and
traditional wedding photography. During the pre-wedding consultation
we ask the couple to give us their vision of
how they want their wedding photographed. We feel that it's
ultimately up to the customer to determine how they want their final wedding
album to look. Many of our brides and grooms leave this up to us, but
we pride ourselves on being flexible and accommodating. This
consultation is also the time to discuss use of black and white film. Our
normal ratio is about 40% black and white and 60% color, but we modify
this based upon the needs and preferences of the client.
EQUIPMENT
We use the
finest camera equipment available, arriving at each wedding with 2
complete Hasselblad outfits, 3 Nikon 35 mm cameras and a Nikon Pro Digital
Camera (D100). We always
bring a full set of back-up equipment including flashes, lens, batteries,
etc. We prefer fixed lens over zooms because of their speed and
quality.
